Description

The 21st Annual Meeting, Protecting and Valuing SMEs’ Intangible Assets, will take place in Alicante on October 20–21, 2025, co-organized with the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO). The event will examine the role of intangible assets, such as IP, brand reputation, patents, copyrights, and proprietary knowledge, in SME growth and competitiveness, and discuss tools and strategies for managing and using these assets.
Topics include the intersection of IP and finance, understanding the value of patents, trademarks, and trade secrets, and methods for IP valuation. The meeting will also cover how IP contributes to competitive advantage, protects innovation, supports brand identity, and can be used in business development and market expansion.
The International IP SME Helpdesks will attend to give presentations on IP and business internationalisation for EU SMEs. One of the presentations addresses "How can intellectual property protection support the development and commercialisation of green innovation?” while the other provides an overview of the services provided by the Helpdesks.
