Motagua Investment Forum - Circular Economy

The Motagua Investment Forum in Guatemala City will bring together local stakeholders and Team Europe—EU representatives, Member States, financial institutions, and private sector actors—to foster partnerships and develop a shared strategy for investing in circular economy infrastructure in the Motagua river basin.

The Motagua River, one of the world’s top plastic-polluting rivers, flows into the Caribbean Sea and contributes roughly 2% of global ocean plastic. The Forum aims to address this crisis by exploring sustainable investment opportunities and building strategic value chains.

European companies are invited to join the initiative and present their circular solutions at the Forum in Guatemala.
