Joint Webinar: Beyond Traditional Licensing - Impact Licensing as a Pathway to Exploitation and Societal Impact

This session introduces impact licensing as an alternative and complementary exploitation pathway for intellectual assets, particularly in the context of EU-funded research and innovation projects. It will explore how licensing strategies can enable technologies to reach new and underserved societal markets while safeguarding the interests of technology owners and supporting economically sustainable deployment. 

Building on the European IP Helpdesk's expertise in IP management and exploitation, the session will introduce the concept and key principles of impact licensing and illustrate how responsible licensing approaches can complement conventional IP exploitation strategies. Participants will gain insights into how intellectual assets can be strategically managed to combine economic value creation with measurable societal impact.
