Description

The EU-Zimbabwe Business Forum is designed to:
- Promote EU foreign direct investment in Zimbabwe across key identified sectors, within the framework of the Global Gateway. The EU offers a multi-sector range of financial guarantees to de-risk investments, thus supporting private European investors to explore opportunities in challenging markets particularly in Africa and the EU Neighbourhood
- Diversify and boost trade between Zimbabwe and the EU and maximise the benefits of the existing EU-Zimbabwe Economic Partnership Agreement (EPA)
- Provide a platform for private-public dialogue to further improve the business environment (e.g. regulatory framework)
The target sectors for the Business Forum are horticulture and agro-processing, renewable energy and mining value chain. Cross-cutting topics include financial services, transport and logistics, and technical and vocational training.
Representatives from the Africa IP SME Helpdesk will be present in Harare, Zimbabwe. They will provide support to any potentially interested companies with their internationalisation processes, helping them avoid risks and raise awareness on the benefits of protecting their intellectual property rights in Africa.
