Description
For many years, China has been perceived by European companies as a distant and complex market, often seen as accessible only to large corporations. That perception is now changing.
China is a global economic powerhouse with 1.4 billion consumers and rapidly growing investment in innovation. In the coming years, it is expected to become the world’s leading country in R&D spending. The country is heavily investing in strategic sectors such as digital technologies, Industry 4.0, advanced and sustainable materials, energy, and high value-added agri-food industries.
However, China is not an easy market to approach. Understanding how it operates is essential in order to work effectively with potential distributors, partners, and local companies — and to adapt products and strategies accordingly.
In this online session (held in English), we will explore:
- Why China has become a realistic opportunity for technology-driven and industrial companies
- How to collaborate with a Chinese company, through a real success case
- How to protect your industrial and intellectualproperty
- HICOOL (Beijing), one of China’s leading innovation hubs, which organises global competitions for startups and university projects with prizes of up to €240,000. It also provides landing support services and access to private investment and industrial partners.
The China IP SME Helpdesk will participate in this event organised by TecnoCampus, to share about key risks and common mistakes in IP protection in China.
