1. Synopsis:

EuroCham Singapore, in collaboration with the South-East Asia IP SME Helpdesk, an initiative of the European Commission, invites you to a timely session exploring the evolving relationship between Artificial Intelligence and Intellectual Property in Southeast Asia. As European companies develop and deploy AI-driven tools, content, and systems across the region, questions around ownership, protection, and enforceability of IP are becoming more urgent and complex.

Against a backdrop of rapid innovation and fragmented legal frameworks, this webinar will examine how ASEAN jurisdictions are approaching the intersection of AI and IP. From the legal status of AI-generated inventions to the challenges of protecting proprietary data, algorithms, and outputs, we will explore how companies can navigate this uncertain but high-impact terrain.

This session brings together legal experts, European SME leaders, and IP practitioners to unpack how regional differences in IP regimes are affecting innovation strategies, and how AI itself is reshaping enforcement tools and practices. It also introduces the South-East Asia IP SME Helpdesk, which offers free resources and tailored support to European SMEs operating in or entering Southeast Asia.
