Patents play the key role in every innovative company’s business strategy, increasing the value of the newest inventions. China’s patent rules have been significantly revised since 2020 to keep up with the international standards. The new rules allow EU SMEs to protect and use patents in China in an easier way, while not complying with the rules would create new risks.
During this presentation, the China IP SME Helpdesk IP Business Advisor Ms Lisa Lu will provide an overview of the patent system in China, including the types of patents, principles and comparison between the EU and the Chinese systems. The IP Business Advisor will then share the updated pre- and post-registration strategy in China, with a focus on EU SMEs. Before and after the presentation, there will be a short quiz to assess the impact of the seminar. The quiz is anonymous.
