Description
The India EU Water Partnership (IEWP) was established in 2016 by the European Union and India to strengthen the political and strategic framework for a more coherent and effective collaboration between both parties on water management issues.
Within the framework of IEWP Phase II (November 1st, 2020 – November 30th, 2023), focus is on four key areas, viz: River Basin Management; Irrigation and Efficient Water Use; Environmental Flow Assessments; and Safe Reuse of Treated Water.
A key objective of the Partnership is to bring together European and Indian business enterprises to create opportunities for bilateral and mutually beneficial cooperation.
Intellectual Property (IP) is a critical aspect to be considered when exploring business partnerships in foreign market as IP is territorial in nature. India has its own comprehensive IP regime, and this session focusses on providing an overview of the IPR and its relevance particularly for the EU water companies.
The session is being jointly organized by EBTC and GIZ in collaboration with the India IP SME Helpdesk
