Meet an expert webinar "Intellectual property in Vietnam"

Together with the South-East Asia IP SME Helpdesk, we are pleased to invite you to our Meet an Expert Webinar on "Intellectual Property in Vietnam".

Several challenges hamper the development of strong IP regimes throughout Southeast Asia, and in particular Vietnam. One is that the cross-cutting nature of IP is not sufficiently acknowledged. Another is that, in general, IP is not accorded a prominent place in national and political economic agendas. At the same time, Vietnam has increasingly become both a target destination and significant transit route for counterfeit and pirated products. 

However, Vietnam is making progress in increasing awareness and development of the IP system, including its commitment to strengthen its IP regime in its international agreements. With the promulgation of the Intellectual Property Strategy until 2030, Vietnam's IP system is expected to have great development, creating a driving force for innovation as well as dissemination of creative products.
