Intellectual Property in Mobility Sector: Protecting Innovation in Latin American and Indian Markets

Next 28th of November, during the online session of the matchmaking event ''International Mobility Days 2023'', organized by WKO and EEN Austria, the India IP SME Helpdesk and the Latin America IP SME Helpdesk we will deliver two separate Intellectual Property related training sessions for the Austrian and EU SMEs participating in the event.

The field of e-mobility is currently undergoing rapid technological advancements. Furthermore, the number of intellectual property (IP) applications, such as patents, has significantly increased in the past decade, especially in areas concerning batteries, energy efficiency, autonomous vehicles, and connectivity. As a result, the global value chain of the industry has become more complex to navigate. Even non-automotive companies, like big tech or ICT companies, are now prominent players in the sector, which has led to a higher level of sophistication in IP strategies, including protection, licensing, and litigation.

The training aims to highlight the key sectoral Intellectual property dynamics in India and Latina America. Attendees can expect key insights when internationalizing and collaborating with respective geographic partners in the E-mobility sector.
