Vietnam has passed further amendments to its Intellectual Property Law (the Amended IP Law), scheduled to take effect on 1 April 2026. The aims of the amendments are to accelerate registration procedures, address emerging issues and strengthen the protection of intellectual property rights – particularly in the digital environment – while also signalling a policy direction that treats intellectual property (IP) as a commercial asset capable of being valued, transacted and financed.
