Today the Commission Adopted the EIC Work Programme 2025

EIC WP

The European Innovation Council (EIC), a component of the EU research and innovation programme Horizon Europe, will allocate €1.4 billion next year to support European deep tech research and high-potential start-ups. The EIC Work Programme 2025, adopted by the Commission today, marks an increase of nearly €200 million compared to 2024.

In addition to an increased budget, the 2025 work programme introduces several enhancements, including improved access to scale-up equity funding through the EIC Strategic Technologies for Europe Platform (STEP) scale-up scheme, which was established following the adoption of the STEP regulation earlier this year.

The main highlights also include increasing access to Business Acceleration Services for emerging companies from ‘widening countries' (countries with lower levels of research and innovation performance).

The EIC Work Programme 2025 will be presented in this online event on 5 November 2024 dedicated to potential applicants, together with an overview of the achievements under the previous work programmes.
