The European Commission has initiated a targeted consultation to collect feedback from stakeholders regarding the efficiency and impact of the International IP SME Helpdesk's activities in China, South-East Asia, Latin America, and India.

For 20 years, the Helpdesks have offered crucial support to European small and medium enterprises (SMEs) expanding into markets outside the European Union (EU). Their services encompass helplines, training programs, online tools, and publications designed to help businesses build and enhance their intellectual property strategies.

The consultation seeks to evaluate whether the Helpdesks effectively address the needs of EU SMEs operating in or planning to enter international markets. It will also examine ways to enhance these services, including insights on the most appropriate geographical coverage and organisational setups.

This survey is available in English, but participants may answer in any EU official language (answering in EN would, however, facilitate analysis).

The consultation is open until 11 April 2025.
