During the European IP Helpdesk Annual Stakeholder Event, held in collaboration with the Impact Licensing Initiative, the attention was placed on the most timely and transformative concepts in the world of intellectual property (IP): Impact Licensing and Impact Investment. 

To explore this evolving topic, the European IP Helpdesk team conducted a series of interviews with leading experts, delving into the potential of impact licensing to unlock public value through inclusive, socially driven IP strategies. 

In the first interview, Ioannis Sagias, Deputy Head of the Valorisation Policies and IPR Unit at the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Research and Innovation (DG RTD), makes a compelling case for why Europe must take a proactive stance in adopting impact licensing.
