Reflecting on the Enterprise Europe Network Annual Conference 2024: Boosting the Potential of European SMEs

As a long-term associated partner of the Enterprise Europe Network (EEN), the European IP Helpdesk recently participated in the EEN Annual Conference 2024: Boosting the Potential of European SMEs, held from 6-8 November at the Budapest Congress Center. This gathering brought together EEN members—dedicated business support providers from across Europe—and our committed Ambassadors to explore new ways of empowering small and medium enterprises (SMEs) through strategic intellectual property (IP) management and tailored support. 

On Day 2, we hosted a session titled "Unlocking Innovation: Mastering IP in the Digital Era", featuring insights from our European IP Helpdesk Ambassadors Pedro Pablo Uceda Carrillo, Monica Diaz de la Peña, Emilie Marcelet and Christina Deyl. Building on last year’s discussions in Bilbao, we explored practical approaches for integrating IP into advisory work, using our Intellectual Property Handbook - Providing IP Guidance through the EEN Client Journey as a key tool. Special thanks to Artificial Intelligence (AI) expert Robert Harrison, whose contributions on the role of AI in IP were highly appreciated by all participants.
