The newly redesigned Intellectual Property Support for Small Businesses website has officially launched, marking the next evolution of the Ideas Powered for Business initiative. The revamped platform is designed to make intellectual property (IP) simple, accessible, and genuinely useful for small businesses across Europe.

Whether companies are taking their first steps in registering trademarks or looking to strengthen a more advanced IP strategy, the website brings together practical tools, expert guidance, and financial support in one central hub.

Available in 23 EU languages, the platform helps make IP management a natural part of growing and protecting a business. The website is free to use and offers a wide range of services tailored to the needs of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), including:

  • Pro bono support – free, personalised guidance from IP experts
  • SME Fund – EU grants to support the registration of IP rights
  • IP Scan online tool – an initial assessment of IP within a business strategy
  • Discover guides – step-by-step explanations to help businesses understand and use IP effectively
