A new technological era is unfolding before us. Quantum technologies are no longer just theoretical, they are beginning to reshape industries, economies, and the global competitive landscape.

In this interview series, Dr. Robert Harrison explores one of the key challenges of our time: how to protect innovation in a rapidly evolving quantum world. As progress in quantum computing and related fields accelerates, it puts increasing pressure on existing intellectual property systems to adapt.

Bringing together expertise in both quantum physics and intellectual property law, Dr. Harrison supports the growth and commercialization of quantum technologies. With a Ph.D. in quantum physics and optics and experience as a European Patent Attorney, he works with start-ups, research institutions, and industry leaders to help them navigate complex legal frameworks and protect their innovations.

Throughout the series, we look at how patents, policy, and legal strategies are evolving alongside technological breakthroughs and what this means for the future of innovation in the quantum era.
