
With effect from 28 November 2022, the Delhi High Court announced that Justice C. Hari Shankar, Justice Sanjeev Nirula and Justice Amit Bansal and shall take over the division from Justice Prathiba M. Singh, Justice Navin Chawla and Justice Jyoti Singh.
In addition, a 10 judges committee has been created to provide a comprehensive review of how to deal with all the transferred IP cases from IPAB and the Courts original composition. Similarly, the Calcutta High Court published the nomenclature on IP matters in order to address another batch of transferred cases.
Furthermore, during the National Seminar on Adjudication of IPR Disputes in India Justice Soumen Sen of the Calcutta High Court mentioned the need to harmonise and adjudicate IPR disputes in line with existing practices around the world. Finally, it is worth to mention that the Madras High Court is also working towards a framework of rules regarding cancellation actions and appeals of the cases transferred from IPAB.
