As India accelerates its focus on digital innovation and applied artificial intelligence, platforms that connect startups, industry, and government are playing an increasingly important role. The NASSCOM Centre of Excellence (CoE), supported by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), is emerging as a key enabler in scaling AI-driven solutions across the country.

Positioned as a neutral and impact-focused platform, the CoE supports startups and enterprises in developing and deploying real-world AI applications. Its approach emphasises measurable outcomes and unbiased selection of high-potential innovations, helping bridge the gap between research, business, and policy.

According to NASSCOM CoE leadership, the initiative is central to strengthening India’s innovation ecosystem, particularly under the broader IndiaAI mission. Future plans include expanding AI centres beyond major hubs to Tier II and Tier III cities, widening access to innovation support and fostering regional growth.

Through these efforts, the CoE aims to scale AI adoption, support emerging businesses, and reinforce India’s position as a global leader in digital innovation.
