The Latin America IP SME Helpdesk team has launched a brand-new Factograph Series offering an overview of the intellectual property (IP) landscape across 19 countries in the region, including Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba, the Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Uruguay, and Venezuela.
This new series has been developed to help EU small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) better understand the IP environment in Latin America and make informed decisions when expanding or protecting their business activities in the region.
Each country-specific factograph provides concise, practical information on the main IP registration procedures, covering trademarks, patents, industrial designs, and copyrights, while also outlining local IP particularities and key institutions involved in the registration and enforcement process.
By offering a clear, user-friendly overview of IP systems in each jurisdiction, the Factograph Series serves as a valuable tool for European SMEs looking to secure and manage their intellectual property effectively when entering Latin American markets.
