IPOPHL rolls out new site blocking rules to stamp out piracy, redirect consumers to legit markets

To mark the celebration of the Philippine Creative Industries Month this September, the Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines (IPOPHL) has launched the much-awaited rules on site blocking — a move seen to disrupt access to pirated sites significantly and pluck out the Philippines from being third in East and Southeast Asia in having the highest piracy rate.
