The IP Helpdesk at the Lisbon Web Summit 2025

The IP Helpdesk was on site at the Web Summit 2025 in Lisbon to connect with innovators, startups, and ecosystem partners from across Europe and beyond.

Web Summit 2025 brought together a record-breaking 71,386 attendees from 157 countries, highlighting its status as one of the world’s largest technology gatherings. This year marked a historic high for investor participation, with 1,857 investors, a 74% increase from 2024. The event also welcomed 2,725 startups, with artificial intelligence and machine learning emerging as leading industries. 

The IP Helpdesk caught up with colleagues from the EUIPO - European Union  Intellectual Property Office at their stand in Pavilion 3, where they took a traditional “family photo” and exchanged on this year’s vibrant activities — including the"AI Ethics & Responsible Tech" Meetup organised by Team EUIPO.
