INPI Brazil updates its IP fees

After more than 10 years, the Brazilian National Institute of Industrial Property (INPI) has announced an update to its fee structure. Set to take effect on August 7, 2025, the new structure features an average increase of 24.1%. 

Despite the rise, INPI maintains a 60% discount for individuals, small businesses, non-profit organizations, and innovation-related institutions. 

With this update, INPI aims to improve digital services by accelerating processing times and ensuring long-term operational sustainability.
