INPI Brazil updates the Industrial Designs Manual

 On 22 January, INPI updated the Industrial Designs Manual. Key changes include amendments to petitions for recording limitations or restrictions, the granting of certificates, and requests for author confidentiality. In addition, new conditions have been introduced for maintaining a claimed priority, including the publication of priority loss without prior notification.  

This update is in line with the changes introduced on 8 August 2025, such as a new discount policy and the replacement of paper-based reprographic copies with digital versions.
