INPI Argentina and Mercado Libre partner to promote IP awareness

On 14 August 2025, Argentina’s INPI and Mercado Libre signed a two-year cooperation agreement aimed at raising public awareness of IP rights. 

The partnership will promote training activities for entrepreneurs, highlighting the benefits of registering and protecting inventions and creations. It also supports the use of tools such as Mercado Libre’s Brand Protection Programme. Similar efforts have been made by Mercado Libre in Mexico and Peru to build a regional culture of IP respect and enforcement.
