The Dominican Republic has joined the DesignView platform, with its National Office for Industrial Property (ONAPI) making national industrial design records accessible through the European Union Intellectual Property Office’s (EUIPO) online search tool. The integration, effective from 8 June 2026, adds more than 650 registered industrial designs to the database.

With this latest addition, DesignView now offers access to information on over 24.6 million industrial designs from 77 intellectual property offices around the world, further enhancing its role as a global source of design information.

Since its launch in 2012, DesignView has become a widely used resource for businesses, designers, and IP professionals seeking free and reliable industrial design information. The inclusion of ONAPI's data reflects continued efforts to improve transparency and facilitate access to IP information across borders.

The integration is part of the EUIPO’s broader cooperation with Caribbean intellectual property offices and has been supported through the EU-funded CarIPI project, which aims to strengthen regional IP systems and international collaboration.
