The D2XCEL project, a pan-European scaling programme for deep tech and digital ventures, has released its Cohort 1 Impact Data, demonstrating significant progress in investment growth, job creation, and cross-border expansion across Europe’s innovation landscape.
Funded under the European Innovation Ecosystems programme of Horizon Europe, D2XCEL supports high-potential ventures in scaling beyond their domestic markets. The programme offers tailored mentoring, investor matchmaking, and facilitated access to leading public and private customers, helping companies strengthen their international positioning.
At the heart of D2XCEL lies its structured mentoring framework, which has supported more than 100 ventures with customised guidance to enhance their scale-up readiness and integration into relevant innovation ecosystems. The mentoring activities have focused on critical growth dimensions, including investment readiness, market entry and procurement strategies, strategic partnerships, team and talent development, intellectual property rights (IPR), and engagement with European Innovation Council (EIC) opportunities.
In addition to mentoring, D2XCEL actively fosters ecosystem connectivity by facilitating network access and targeted introductions through both online and onsite one-to-one meetings. Participating ventures have also been invited to dedicated investment and partnering events, as well as selected third-party industry gatherings, increasing their visibility and strengthening opportunities for collaboration and business development across European and international markets.
