92,000 patent applications were filed in India during 2024

Around 92,000 patent applications were filed in India last year, showing the country's increasing prominence as a hub for technology and science. 

The Controller General of Patents, Designs, and Trademarks announced that IP guidelines are being updated and that feedback is being collected from stakeholders regarding the new regulations.
