Programme Synopsis:

With the constant proliferation of new technologies and the expected switch to Web 3.0, we are now getting used to see several new emerging trends (Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Blockchain, Non-Fungible Tokens, Metaverses and Decentralised Finance). Even though these concepts are still unknown and not clearly regulated, it is important to already think about how Intellectual Property (IP) can help to protect both physical and virtual assets. What are the potential pitfalls and how do we make sure that innovation remains a driver for rapid and profitable revenue growth from a legal point of view?

This webinar will help understand how to navigate this increasingly difficult and unknown landscape. We will also discuss how IP concepts and mechanisms can be used to both protect these new types of valuable assets and generate value for businesses.

Join us for this very unique event and hear from several experienced speakers:

✔ An IP expert from the SEA IP SME Helpdesk who will highlight the importance of protecting IP for businesses evolving in the new tech industry and will share some basics about how to make use of IP to grow your business.

✔ Innovators and business leaders will discuss current trends from the new tech industry and Singapore’s role as a tech hub plus they will share their best practices about the ways to overcome challenges. We will also look at the relation between rewarding intellectual development and incentivising further technological advancement.
