Grab a coffee and join us for the first of our new IP'spresso vodcast series about intellectual property in South-East Asia!
In this episode run in collaboration with 4iP Council, our guest IP experts will talk about how SMEs can protect their innovations in South-East Asia - for example - similarities and differences in the filing requirements between the various patent offices in the region, and recent developments in this area.
Furthermore, this IP'spresso airs just before World IP Day, the theme of which is "Women and IP: Accelerating innovation and creativity", and we are delighted to have two leading female IP experts as our speakers. They will share their personal experiences in this sector, and discuss why it is important to focus on this theme considering the significant challenges in accessing the knowledge, skills, resources and support required.

IP experts:
Gitanjali Sharma, 4iP Council
Gitanjali Sharma is a qualified Indian lawyer specialising in IP and technology-related dispute resolution and policy. Cumulative experience as ex-IPR Policy Researcher at Ericsson and IP litigation in India. She holds a masters in IP and Competition from Munich IP Law Center coordinated by the Max Planck Institute for Innovation and Competition.
Wai Yeng Chang, External Expert on behalf of the SEA IP SME Helpdesk
Wai Yeng is a Singapore registered patent attorney with experience working on a wide range of technology and IP matters. She advises businesses on both obtaining and enforcing IP rights and partners with incubators, accelerators as well as trade agencies that promote innovative companies to expand overseas to provide technology-focused IP strategies, particularly in the area of patents.
