Directorate-General Agri-Food High-Level Business Mission to Vietnam

Commissioner for Agriculture Janusz Wojciechowski will be visiting Vietnam from 10 to 14 July 2022, accompanied by a business delegation of senior representatives from the European agri-food sector. The purpose of this visit is to facilitate European agricultural food and beverage exports and to benefit from the positive outcomes of the EU–Vietnam Free Trade Agreement (EVFTA).

The high-level mission aims to give European producers’ representatives the opportunity to meet not only potential partners from local markets but also representatives of the agri-food sector from the whole region. The mission’s programme will include informative seminars on the characteristics of the local markets and consumer trends, retail and site visits, and networking opportunities.

The programme will take place in Hanoi (Vietnam) from 10 to 12 July, Ho Chi Minh from 12 to 14 July. The flights and hotels costs have to be covered by participants but all business events from the official programme will be offered free of charge.

In this framework of this high level mission, Dr. Joerg-Michael Scheil – External Expert, SEA IP SME Helpdesk & Managing Partner, Schulz Noack Bärwinkel (SNB Law) will represent the Helpdesk to deliver a 20-minutes Presentation exclusively focusing on the latest IPR updates related to the F&B industry, Case study and Watch-outs/ tips that the EU companies should be aware of when doing business in Vietnam. Mr. Benoît Tardy – IP Business Advisor, SEA IP SME Helpdesk will also be joining Dr. Scheil at the event.
