Description

Gamut Tech, a multinational technology company, recognised the potential of the Mozambican market and decided to expand its operations into the country. Aware of Mozambique's trade mark laws, which do not require immediate use of a trade mark upon registration, Gamut Tech applied for trade mark registration for its products. However, it did not submit the necessary Declarations of Intention to Use (DIUs) in 2015, when the DIUs were due.
